Crafted by the Titans from living stone, many ages past the Dwarves are stoic, tough and above all unyielding. After the sundering they descended into a century spanning slumber. Upon awakening the ancient Dwarves found they had become creatures of flesh. Thousands of years later this had become myth and legend. Though the modern Dawrves still have a strong affinity for the earth and all forms of stone work. Gifted miners and masons the Dwarven kingdom of Khaz Modan is renown for its exports
Physical features: Though all Dwarves bare the same characteristic features of being short (generally ranging from 4'' - 4'10''), broad faced and thickly built. One must however categorize them into the different races with the one origin. Dwarf - Hailing from the mountainous Ironforge and the surrounding Khaz Modan fit the above description perfectly. Wildhammer Clan - These Dwarves make their home upon the aerie peak, North of Khaz Modan. They are taller then other forms of Dwarves with a height of 4ft to 5'3''. They are also identifiable by blue clan tattoo's. Dark Iron Clan - These Dwarves can be found deep beneath the volcanic black rock mountain and the surrounding areas of searing gorge and burning steppes. Clearly identifiable by ash grey skin and ruby red eyes. The Earthen - Though made wholly of living stone, the earthen bare a deep resemblance to the Dwarves, as indeed they are the modern Dwarves ancestors. It is unclear why they have not become flesh like they're Dwarven counterparts, the Earthen have only recently awoken from the slumber that transformed the ancient Dwarves. They can be found sporadically around Azeroth generally close to the ruins of they're own civilization. The Iron Dwarves - like the Earthen the Iron Dwarves bare an obvious resemblance to Dwarves. Their skin however as the name suggests is a dark metal. Occasionally, lightning can be seen playing across their arms. These Dwarves can only be found in Northrend, mainly stormpeaks. |

Maturity Dwarves are a long lived race, they're lifetime normally spanning around 400 years. Most Dwarves are considered to be young adolescences until roughly the age of 50 years. It is safe to say this would be the point where Dwarves would Mature into more sexual beings, being as this would be the time they took on a partner, began to marry and what not. In saying this though you can be creative and make the Maturity age what you want. Dwarves may begin to lose sexual interest anywhere between 300 and 400 years. Then again it could be anytime after a few children, or whatever. Dwarves are very busy people and could very well have no time for love making. Other While it is certain that Dwarves, wildhammer Dwarves and Dark Iron Dwarves can breed with themselves and interchangeably. One can not be certain about Iron Dwarves and Earthen as they are not of flesh. |
Pregnancy It is undetermined the gestation period for Dwarves of the WoW universe, however information we have gathered suggests that Dwarves can be pregnant for upwards of ten years (0o0 wow) In saying that though if you did indeed decided to conceive in the WoW universe as a Dwarf, It would purely be up to you how long this would go for. Again due to the long time of gestation it is safe to say that Dwarven woman wouldnt show for a very long time, maybe up to 7 years. Again though this depends on what you want. Marriage Dwarves do indeed marry their partners. The ceremony is elaborate with a whole week celebration after wards. its said that Dwarven marriage celebration never really stops as by the time one ends, a new one begins. |
Inter-species Conception. Dwarf and Gnome - After much discussion we decided that this could be very possible. Specially considering them living together so closely. Being so It would be hard to conceive and would be a difficult pregnancy. Due to the long gestation period of Dwarves against the much shorter one of a Gnome It is purely up to you how long this period could last. Dwarves and Other races - We decided that there was no Chance of Dwarves conceiving with other races. In Fantasy out there Dwarves have been known to conceive with humans so with that information you could do a Human/Dwarf pregnancy. |
